My personal feelings are like this: America is a country of good and bad, like any other. Our country was founded upon the murder of millions of Native Americans, yet the majority of our citizens thinks we are a pure and free society. America does not have a good sense of history. We prop up dictators like Hussein, Bin Laden and Noriega, then our society gets outraged when our government states that those people are committing crimes. America, as a country, is at it's best when things are the worst. Usually, we are rich, lazy and arrogant, and in these times we have no sense of love, duty or compassion. But when things go bad, for us and other countries, we are the most powerful country in the world. We are the most spiritually free group of people in the world, and this spirit drives us like nothing else can. I think we need to support democratic forces in Afghanistan and only act with violence once we are sure who committed the crime. We MUST NOT kill innocent civilians like the terrorists did-that would only make us as disgusting as them. They are only called terrorists because they cannot afford aircraft carriers and nuclear missiles. It's the only way they know how to fight. I urge calm and a prudent response.

Sincerely,
Anthony Costantino
