I promised you
that I would write something you could post on your website....
here goes...
At this point
in time I am contemplating our collective naievete...I am
wondering how intelligence missed this. Why? After all the money that has
been allocated to them?
I wonder why,
WHY? did our airlines allow small knives on flights, open
access to the cockpits of the planes, curbside checkins for baggage, when
other airlines around the world know better? Common sense would tell us
differently. Of course, these things cost$$$$. Yes, then I guess it is okay
to
skip security! (NOT)
I am wondering
why the news media fed us steady diets of the sex lives of
Clinton, and Condit, ad nauseum and chose not to report in any great detail
about the forces around the world that want to destroy us?
Usama Bin Laden
declared war on us in 1996! Where were the media then?
I never heard about that. Maybe that story just wouldn't sell papers, or rack
up ratings, or attract sponsors.
Most people want
to blow some countries right off the map. If we do, we
are as bad as the terrorists--killing the innocent. Is this how you change
the
mindset of up and coming young terrorists? This drives the hatred deeper.
We need JUSTICE, not REVENGE.
Today I find
myself critical of the powers that be. I have been sad, hurt,
angry, then sad, shocked, now critical, and then the whole cycle starts
again. I know one thing is static--I haven't smiled since Tuesday. Perhaps
this is the way it will be for awhile.......
